Submission
Applicants will submit their funding requests for Grant Cycle 8 during several "windows" within the three-year time frame of 2026-2028.
Following the submission of funding requests, the Technical Review Panel (TRP) meets to assess if the requests are strategically focused, technically sound, and poised for impact and sustainability. This review is further explained in the TRP Review Criteria [ download in English | Español | Français ].
Applicants are encouraged to submit their funding request well in advance of when their grants are due to end. Countries with a current grant end date of December 2026 are encouraged to plan for a Window 1 or Window 2 submission.
Grant Cycle 8 Submission Dates
The submission window deadlines and subsequent Technical Review Panel meetings for Grant Cycle 8 are listed below. Further windows and submission dates in 2027 are anticipated and will be published here, as available.

Submission Through Partner Portal
For Grant Cycle 8, all funding requests will be submitted to the Global Fund through the Partner Portal, which is an online interface already used by Principal Recipients and Local Fund Agents during grant implementation. Applicants will access the Partner Portal Funding Request Module to download Funding Request templates, and attach their completed Funding Request submission. This allows for a more efficient and transparent submission.
Applicants and Principal Recipients are encouraged to review and update their contact information in the Grant Entity Data app in the Partner Portal so they can complete and submit their funding requests through the Partner Portal.
In December 2025, applicants should check that their Admin Focal Points are correctly assigned in the Grant Entity Data app. In January 2026, all Admin Focal Points will be assigned the rights in the Funding Request Module to submit funding requests.
